Gulu: Cricket teams from the Lira/Lango sub-region returned safely on Sunday after a strong showing at a regional competition held in Gulu City over the weekend.

All four teams representing the Lango sub-region reached the finals and delivered impressive performances.

The schools that carried the Lira/Lango flag were Ojwina Primary School (U13 Boys and U13 Girls) and Railways Primary School (U11 Boys and U11 Girls).

Sandra, Lango Sub-region Cricket Coordinator, who also doubled as coach, confirmed the teams’ safe return today. She praised the players for their discipline, teamwork and performance at the Gulu tournament.
