Kitgum dominates 2026 USSSA Acholi Zonal Games II with 11 titles

Schools from Kitgum dominated both the team and individual events, with Rev. Jabuloni Issooke Memorial College being crowned the overall Best Girls’ School.

The performance cements Kitgum’s status as the team to beat as schools prepare for the next stage of the USSSA competitions.

Meanwhile, in Lango, Lira SS and Town College impressed as the 2026 USSSA Lango Zone Netball Game Ball II got under way on Sunday, with several schools recording dominant victories.

Akalo SS, Topstar, St Katherine and Aduku SS also registered impressive wins.

According to Deo Oguti Opio, Head of Communications for USSSA Lango Zone, matches were played across the zone, with both emerging and established netball schools taking part.

  • Akalo SS 24–11 Alebtong Comprehensive School
  • Lira SS 21–3 Loro SS
  • DARA High School 15–15 Wisdom High School
  • Aduku SS 14–11 Mentor SS
  • Topstar 24–11 Abok SS
  • St Katherine 25–4 Premier Progressive School
  • Town College 29–8 Atapara SS

Lira SS and Town College recorded the biggest winning margins of the day, while DARA High School and Wisdom High School played out the tournament’s only draw.

The tournament continues this week as part of the 2026 USSSA Lango Zone Netball Game Ball II, with more fixtures scheduled.
