PADER DISTRICT – A total of 86 applicants from Pader and Agago districts have successfully qualified in the 2026 Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) recruitment exercise for the Agago-Pader cluster.

According to official results released at the end of the screening, 42 applicants from Pader District and 44 from Agago District met the required standards and have been cleared to proceed to the next stage of recruitment.

The exercise was conducted at Pader District Headquarters and attracted hundreds of youth from both districts who turned up to compete for slots in the national army.

UPDF recruitment officials noted that the process was carried out transparently and in line with the force’s guidelines on age, medical fitness, education, and discipline.

The successful candidates from the Pader-Agago cluster will now join other qualified recruits from across the country as the UPDF continues with its nationwide enlistment drive for 2026.

The recruitment exercise is part of UPDF’s ongoing efforts to bolster troop numbers and bring in new, disciplined personnel* to serve in different capacities within the force.

Local leaders in both Pader and Agago congratulated the successful applicants and urged them to remain disciplined and patriotic as they prepare to serve the nation.
