RADIO 94.3 Q-FM is a vibrant and resourceful community-based Radio which was established over 8 years ago and has a wide coverage of the entire Lango Sub Region with eight districts, parts of Kiryandingo and Masindi in Bunyoro, Gulu, Pader, Kitgum, Agago in Acholi Sub-Region and parts of Abim, Amuria, Kaberamaido and Soroti in Eastern region.
The radio with listenership of over 3 million people is one of the largest major-market broadcast media operators in Northern Uganda and the undisputed leader in news, sports reporting and talk show hosting. It produces original audio content, live events and exclusive programming broadcast via on-air and mobile platforms.
Q FM is located on plot 57 Oyam Road, opposite the play grounds of VH Public School and it’s in the heart of Lira Town. Its main broadcasting languages are Luo and English.
We aim to inform, educate and entertain our audiences and compensate for the trivial and inappropriate nature of existing coverage; promote unity, good governance, civic participation and development whilst explaining government and donor policies.

The mission of Q FM 94.3 Lira is to operate an effective, sustainable and community-based radio that will champion development within and around its footprint and strive for visible and measurable community support and programming content that reflects community demographics, needs and priorities.
